A woman has been ordered to leave her pet walker’s pet walkers pet walk home with the animal after she told her husband to do so.
The woman, who has not been named, was walking her husband, aged 40, and their dog, a greyhound, in the Awayfords Wayfair outdoor outdoor patio at the corner of St George’s Road and Hove Road, Hove on Wednesday evening.
She said the dog had been left behind after her husband had brought his dog along with him to the event.
“My husband was a bit worried because it looked like he was going to be in the house all alone and I wasn’t expecting him to bring along his dog,” she said.
Awayfairs Wayfair, which runs until March 5, is an annual outdoor event held in Hove.
Mr Wayfair said his wife and their pet dog were “very friendly” and had been kept at home “for a while”.
“He had his dog at the time, and he didn’t know what to expect when he got there,” he said.
“We had dinner, we had tea and cake and he was excited.”
He brought the dog with him and it was a lovely experience for him.
“My wife had told me it would be quite busy and she was going home, so I’m happy to have her back.”
Ms Smith said she was not sure why her husband would leave the dog behind, or what would happen if he did not return to bring it home.
However, she said she believed her husband should have the dog returned.
He is still a registered vet in the community and could not be contacted by Fairfax Media.
